Rackin Up

Today was Honor's Day at Cat's school, and all I can say is "Wow, she really racked up the awards". Cathy received an award for yearly high honor roll (to achieve this she has maintained a 93 or above average in all subjects), she also received an award for outstanding achievement in bible, and last but not least Cat received a certificate and ribbon for being in the Duke University TIP Program (she achieved this by scoring a 95 or above on her standardized testing). Cathy is a also a member of the National Elementary Honor Society. I do not think at ten years old she realizes what a big accomplishment this is. I am SO VERY PROUD of her.

Class of 2021

Friday was Colin's Kindergarten graduation. I was crying before the program even started, it does not seem like my little boy should be this old. Colin has had such a wonderful school year. He has learned so many new things this year. I can't believe the things they learn so young. His math ability is amazing, as is the feeling I get when my 5 year old reads ME a book. They performed such a wonderful program, which confirmed to us why we have our children in a private christian school. While it is our job as parents to instill our children with the correct values and morals, it is nice to know that they are in an atmosphere daily that reinforces those same values. It's Hard To Say Goodbye

This weekend we had a cookout at my in-laws. It was the last time for us to be together as a family before my brother in-law (Ryan), and his family (Jamie, Joshua, and Jamison) would be leaving. They are moving to New York. As some of you may know it has been a hard time economically for all of us, and their move is work related. I know they need to do what is best for their family, but it does not make them leaving any easier. To say they have been a big part of our lives is an understatement. Michael's brother is his best friend, as his wife Jamie has been mine. Our children have been so blessed to grow up closely with their cousins. I pray that this move will be temporary and they will come back soon. Below are a couple of pictures from the day.

Commotion in the Ocean

Yesterday was the annual spring program at our church's preschool. The kids all sang and danced and really put on a show. There were octopus, and starfish, angelfish, surfers, and my very own baby was a rainbow fish. I always enjoy these programs so much and try to take in as much as I can for I realize that in the blink of an eye my babies will be grown up.

Family Fun

We had the pleasure of our neice and nephew spending the night with us last weekend. The kids all had such a good time as did Michael and I watching them together. The put on a concert for us a little of which is in the video below. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Joy

Above is a short video of my favorite mothers day card. Michael said the front reminded him of me and Cody, and the song is one of my favorites to sing them. Hope you enjoy as much as I.

To my children I just want you to know that words cannot express the love I feel for you all. You bring so much joy into my life and I am so very thanful and proud to be your mother.

Locksmith

Yesterday my youngest spent the day with his great grandmother. About ten o'clock I get a high priority e-mail from my mother asking if I have a key to granny's house (the same granny my baby was staying with).

I quickly called her to see what was gong on, she then tells me that Cody had locked himself and my grandparents out of the house. How could this happen you ask. Well, my grandparents have a patio off the back of there home that they use as a dining area. There is still a door from the kitchen to the patio that has a lock on the inside. On Cody's way to the patio to eat breakfast he locked the door (from the inside) and then proceeded to close it behind him. My granny at the time thought nothing of it, until she went to clean off the table and go back to the kitchen.

So there they were locked out of the house, no phone, no keys, no bathroom. What to do?? They walked next door to the neighbors and called my Mama to rescue them. Hence why she sent me the e-mail. She works about thirty minutes from their house where as I am only 10. Moral of the story expect the unexpected especially with a two year old, and oh yea, hide a key on the patio just in case.
