Wanna Massage

It seems like a lot of my stories lately have to do with Cody, but here is another one for you. This morning Cody woke up kinda early so he came and got back in bed with me. Michael was already taking a shower. I guess I fell back asleep and the next thing I knew I heard this noise, like a gagging noise. I woke up and looked beside me when there is Cody in the middle of the bed with massage oils. He had opened it up and had it all over him, the bed, and in his mouth. I quickly snatched him up and headed to the kitchen to wash out his mouth. I read the bottle panicking hoping he did not drink it and was not going to get sick. It did not say anything on the package in relation to being harmful if swallowed, although how many people swallow massage oil??? Good news is he must not have ingested enough to make himself sick. Lesson to be learned. Put the massage oil up and out of reach after use.

Pottery

Yesterday afternoon I took the kids to a local pottery store to make a present for Michael for father's day. He eats salad pretty much every night for dinner and usually eats them out of one of my mixing bowls, so I thought it would be nice for the kids to make him his own special salad bowl. It was the first time that the kids and I had done ceramics together and it was really a lot of fun. I told the kids not to tell daddy about his surprise. Well, I am assuming Cody let it slip because, last night after tucking the kids in to bed. Michael asked me, "Did you make a bowl"? I think the expression on my face answered him as then he said never mind and started smiling. Here's hoping that a two year old's description wont totally ruin the surprise.

There is this commercial

I cannot think for the life of me the product it is selling but the line that I have remembered from it is oooh sooo true. It goes like this, "When your a mom, the phrase good morning takes on a whole new meaning". Well, to all the mom's out there, can I get an AMEN for that one!

Cody you won't do son.

Luckily Dogs...

Don't hold grudges. Day before yesterday Michael and I got up to get ready for work. We started our day as usual took our showers and then went to the living room to let our dog Max outside. We thought it was a little weird that Max had not yet come downstairs into our room as he usual does, but we just figured he was still upstairs in Cat's room asleep. Michael went over to the back door and called him "Come, on Max wanna go outside"? But no Max, Michael proceeded to turn o the light outside when what did he see, Max sitting on the back porch. We left him out all night. He came straight inside and ran to his bed where he stayed until we left for work. I remember letting him out about 10:30 or so one last time before bed, I guess I thought Michael let him in and Michael thought I did. We both felt so bad for leaving him out. Above is a picture of him as a baby, how cute is he!!

Rainy day fun

This weekend it pretty much rained here non-stop. So we took the kids to the movies. There was discussion over what we would see and it was between Disney/Pixar's UP or Night at the Museum. We settled on UP, and I have to say I am REALLY glad we did. We did not know what to expect as the previews do not do this movie justice. It was a heartfelt movie and all of us enjoyed it. It had everything you could want in a movie, the story was great. I cried, I laughed, there was action, I highly recommend this movie for anyone, not just those of us with kids :)

Bittersweet

I am happy and sad to say that Michael and myself are now the proud owners of only one home. As many of our friends know, we built our dream home a little over a year ago. However when it was time to move into our new house, our home we were living in had not yet sold (this was just about the time the market was tanking). So we made the decision to rent out the house for a year and then go from there. Well that year has ended and we were very blessed that our tenant approached us about buying the home. We closed on the house last Friday. That home holds a special place in our heart, it was our first home that we owned together. We had a lot of big events in our life happen while we were there and created a lot of great memories. It was a wonderful house and I hope it will bring the new owners as many good memories as it brought us.

Not Again

Okay, so I am a loyal Chevy girl. And while yes, I do own a Mustang (I have to admit I have a softspot for just about any muscle car). I have most always driven a Chevrolet, I mean my very first car was a Camaro Z28. And now my husband drives an Avalanche, and I an Uplander (far cry from the sportscar) but both are Chevy's.

My husbands truck is 4 years old now, we have already had to replace the transmission!!!! My van is 3 years old, and is in the shop again. It has been nothing but trouble since we bought it. I have had every kind of electrical malfunction you can think of. It has always done this weird thing where it will not crank the first time you try, which they have supposedely fixed TWICE. But yesterday it just decided it was not gonna crank at all. Leaving me and the kids stranded (thankfully we were at our church when it happened) and my daddy works right down the street. So thank you to daddy, for coming to our rescue.

My point??? My loyalty is slowly fading. I never had this kind of trouble out of my Camaro and it was 15 years old when I got it. I mean did we both buy lemons or did they just make better cars back then...
